Katrin Bacic

Katrin Bacic is CEO of the Munich-based NewSpace startup UNIO Enterprise. Here she drives satellite-focused products and services for the mobility industry with a strong focus on the automotive industry by providing always-on connectivity for connected vehicles by seamlessly bridging terrestrial and satellite-based networks. Previously, she was Managing Director and Head of Strategy at Wayra Germany from 2018 to 2023, where she led all start-up programs. As the innovation and investment unit of the telecommunications group Telefónica, Wayra is the world's largest corporate accelerator. Katrin Bacic previously held various management positions at Telefónica for over 13 years, primarily in the areas of business development and innovation. In addition to Germany, she has also lived and worked in Spain and Hong Kong. Katrin Bacic is a speaker, mentor and author as well as a member of various juries and is committed to diversity in the startup and tech ecosystem.
